Choose a path that feels right for you
Individual therapy
-
In-person sessions take place in a private, one-on-one setting where we can focus on your goals and work through challenges like stress, anxiety, and relationships. You lead the process, and I’m here to guide you, helping you build skills and make lasting changes.
-
For those who prefer the flexibility of online therapy, I offer video sessions. Online therapy is a great option if distance, travel, or scheduling makes in-person meetings difficult. It’s important to ensure a private space during online sessions to maintain confidentiality, and I’ll discuss any advantages and limitations of online therapy with you at the start.
Youth-Focused Therapy
-
Adolescence and young adulthood can bring significant change, and with it, unique challenges. Whether it’s navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, or a lack of motivation—often exacerbated by academic pressure, family dynamics, or societal expectations—youth-focused therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore and address these issues.
In our work together, we'll use evidence-based approaches like ACT and Art Therapy to help young people express themselves, gain insight, and build emotional resilience through creative, practical tools for coping. The goal is to create an environment where youth can openly explore their experiences, build coping skills, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness and confidence. Through a collaborative approach, we will work together to support emotional growth and empower them to face life's challenges with a stronger sense of self.
Cultural-Focused Therapy
-
Leaving behind your home country and transitioning to a new culture can be both challenging and overwhelming, especially when you also lose your support network of friends and family. Whether you're adjusting to a new environment, facing challenges related to immigration, or navigating cultural differences, I offer culturally sensitive therapy that values your unique background, experiences, and identity.
In our sessions, we’ll explore how to empower you to adjust to your new context, build a supportive network, and manage any anxieties or stress that arise during this transition. Cultural factors shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Together, we’ll navigate these complexities while developing strategies that align with your values and experiences.
What to Expect
Here’s what to expect as we work together to help you move forward.
1.Free 15 min phone or video consultation
We’ll start with a quick phone or video call to discuss your needs and how I can help. If it feels like we’re a good fit to work together, we’ll schedule your first session.
2. Initial Assessment (Intake)
After our consultation, we’ll have a 75 minute session to explore your goals, challenges, and expectations, and create a personalized therapy plan. We’ll also review confidentiality, the support you can expect, and other key details to ensure a trusting relationship.
Please allow extra time to avoid feeling rushed.
3. Therapy begins
Once we create your personalized plan, each session will focus on what matters most to you. Sessions are tailored to help you explore challenges, learn new skills, and build progress. We’ll check in regularly and adjust the plan as needed to keep you on track.
4. Session Format
Sessions can be in-person or online. They’re typically weekly or bi-weekly, with flexibility based on your needs. The number and frequency of sessions depend on your goals and practical factors like scheduling and budget. Therapy may be short-term (4-12 sessions) or longer. We’ll decide together the best approach for you.
5. Ending Therapy
As you gain confidence with the tools we’ve explored, we’ll decide together when to wrap up. We’ll gradually reduce session frequency, and when you’re ready, finish up.
You’re always welcome to reach out in the future if you’d like to reconnect-I’m here to support you anytime.

Other Things to Consider
For clients under 16, the initial assessment typically includes both the young person and their parent(s)/guardian. During this meeting, we’ll discuss the level of parental/guardian involvement in the therapy process. Each therapy plan is tailored to the individual’s needs, including who will be involved and how often. These details will be agreed upon at the start.
We’ll also review confidentiality rules and exceptions during the initial meeting. Parents/guardians must agree that conversations with the young person will remain confidential, unless there’s a safety concern.
